Welcome to Week 4 of the B- Iconic Challenge

Betty Grable, the pin-up QUEEN, was known for her LEGS. Well, Bombshells are known for their  BOOTYS!

This week is all about building and enhancing your Bombshell Booty.

It all starts with muscle activation. We need to fire up those glute muscles to be ready to work. Take 10 minutes before your workout to really focus on warming up the glutes.

By targeting the appropriate muscles, activation exercises reinforce the brain-body connection. In other words, they help establish a stronger communication link between your brain and the rest of your body, so your body is better prepared for the activity to come.

Another benefit is the decreased risk of injury. Specific activation exercises can help relax overactive muscles, such as your hip flexors, which tend to get overactive if you sit for an extended period. This can help encourage the targeted muscles to work effectively, so there is no overcompensating with other muscles.

The third benefit is that it helps improve your overall performance – utilizing your muscles and strength effectively to get the most out of each workout.

On your B-Connected Portal under Resources, you will find the Mobility Guide, along with Page 5, which is all about glute activation.

After all of your hard work in the gym you can show of your Bombshell Booty with a great pair of leggings or shorts! Here are some tips to make your booty look great!

  • Keep it tight around your waist! The waist-to-hip ratio is important. If you want your butt to look bigger, make your waist look smaller.
  • Avoid loose-fitting dresses and shirts that fall freely, and choose form-fitting clothing that’s snug at the waist.
  • Look for materials that don’t lose elasticity. Cotton and Lycra blends provide shape longer without bagging. You want a defined waistline to create an hourglass effect.
