With the Bombshell training system, we always encourage you to have some food in your system before you lift, allowing your body to tap into that energy. I know I personally try to eat an hour prior to my lift so that I have enough gas in the tank to really PUSH those weights without feeling too full. I notice I can lift more in a fed state rather than when I am fasted.
So let’s get meal prepping this week! I challenge you to pick a day that works with your schedule/ routine and most importantly stick with it. My meal prepping routine is on Sunday- I go to the gym then on my way home I swing by the grocery store with my list. This way it gets done and not pushed to the back burner.
Bulk prepping has also helped a TON. I cook everything somewhat plain so that way I can create different recipes for the rest of the family during the week. My staples are ground turkey, grilled chicken and lean ground beef for protein. Then rice, quinoa and potatoes for my carbs. Veggie steamer bags are such an amazing way to save prep time and ensure they stay nice and fresh! The grocery store should have plenty of plain and unsalted/unseasoned options that will fit your plan.
Depending on your family size, prepping 2x a week may be ideal to save space and to keep things FRESH. I like to plug my meal prep into my weekly planner, create a fun family activity out of it and use different options listed in my plan to switch things up.
